“I purchased their Open Water Pro reel for local drift diving in the West Palm Beach Florida area. Seems to be well made. The ratcheting hand thing works as it should. Very easy reel to use single handed, pulling a flag or sending my SMB up on end of my dive. They say it has a lifetime warranty, sooooo we will see.”

“This thing is a beast! NOT light, but very robust. Their MOAR reel is made from heavy material. The 400' line is a tad more than what I need, but better to have it though just in case. The locking system works every time. Really like having my smb attached to the reel for quick use. Overall, happy with my purchase.”

Thank you for your purchase and feedback. Yes the MOAR is no light-weight. It is made from varying gauge stainless steel. The chassis is 14 gauge and the spool is 11 gauge. We did extensive testing, including drop tests, to determine the best combination of durability, balance, and weight. This combination of thicknesses yielded superior results.
